In harmony with the exhibition’s theme, YONA Design Studio and RAD Studios collaborate to present an art installation that evokes the whimsical charm of childhood days spent flying kites in the rice fields. What is typically found in nature has been thoughtfully brought inside a building nestled in the heart of a city.

The kite, crafted with a bamboo frame and draped in Rad Studios’ naturally dyed fabric, reflects the studio’s commitment to traditional techniques and sustainable artistry. Three traditional kites from different regions of Java are featured, each representing a unique cultural narrative.

One kite is directly connected to the kimono representing the image of a scarecrow standing in the rice fields, reminiscing on those simple days in the past.
