Established 2020
SAMAYA began as a simple collaboration between builder and designer — and grew into something more. Our work lives in the dialogue between concept and craft. We aim to be concise, meticulous, and consistent. Shaped by design thinking, committed to detail, and grounded in the belief that how something is built matters just as much as what is being built. With each project, we ask: how can we build this with precision, integrity, and respect for the original idea? SAMAYA is where technology, craftsmanship, and collaboration come together.

Terrazzo Workshop
Office creative activity
The Terrazzo Workshop was created to deepen our understanding of materials through hands on exploration. While project based materials are often left to manufacturers and vendors, we believe designers and builders should also understand the character and behavior of the materials they specify.
As a concrete based material, terrazzo naturally carries the characteristics of concrete, including the possibility of cracking. Rather than treating this as a flaw, the workshop explored how these qualities can be understood, managed, and embraced through thoughtful design and material selection.
Bringing together the teams of Yona Design Studio and Samaya Planning and Build, participants experienced every stage of the terrazzo making process, from mixing pigments, stone aggregates, and additives to casting, curing, and polishing their own terrazzo coasters.

Anthology II: Morph
at Jia Curated 2025
“Morph” is the second chapter and continuation of Anthology, an exhibition series presented by SAMAYA Planning and Build, YONA Design Studio, Lamitak HPL Surface, and Paradis Concept, in collaboration with a wider collective of creative partners who contributed to realising the Morph installation.
Altering a preconception birth a new perspective. Exploring a transformation — of form, thought, and experience, where it challenges the familiar and reimagines the possible. It reflects a progression: a transformative process in how we perceive and engage with space, nature, and the ecosystems within.
